Bachelor of Laws

Bachelor of Laws with Honours (Draft Page - Not An Accredited Course)

Course Description

A Bachelor of Law with Honours equips students with the ability to apply a body of knowlege in a specific context to undertake professional work and provides a sound introduction to independent research skills. It also serves as a pathway for research and further learning.

Students who have maintained at least a Distinction average in the first three years of their Bachelor of Laws will qualify to pursue their Bachelor of Laws with Honours in their fourth year. In place of completing the standard 6 electives of the Bachelor of Laws, Sheridan's Bachelor of Laws with Honours students will complete 4 electives and produce a research thesis under academic supervision. This will result in a substantial body of work that is both academically defensible and will add to the body of academic discourse in the discipline.
