Biography

In 2013, after six years of working in the accounting industry in Hong Kong and Australia, Peter switched to lecturing on tertiary campuses. You will always find him patiently explaining the wonders of Mathematics to a huddle of eager students. This passion for excellence in how he teaches and supports comes from his own personal experience of struggle. At school, he spent many hours feeling frustrated because the curriculum materials were too hard and help was not forthcoming. At Sheridan, he has made it his mission to facilitate a better learning experience for his students. He enjoys demonstrating the useful and practical applications of Accounting and Finance, challenging learners to think about their future roles in business. Despite the difficulties of early schooling, Peter has successfully completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting major), a Master of Science, and a Graduate Diploma of Education. He is currently enrolled in a PhD program, researching the area of Value at Risk (VaR). This involves accurately quantifying risks, so a stakeholder can make better investment decisions.
