About Sheridan Library's Resources
Our current collection includes academic resources including books, DVDs and journals.
Materials are arranged in the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system to make it easier for students and staff to find items in the library. The online library catalogue can also be used to search and locate items in the library.
Students and staff can access the library's online resources while on-campus or from home. To search for items available in the library, please access our online library catalogue via https://library.sheridan.edu.au/

The physical Sheridan library is currently unavailable. However, students and staff are still able to access the library's online resources while on-campus or from home.

Lizelle is also available on-campus on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 4:00pm to assist students and staff with their library and information needs.
Membership and Borrowing limits
To borrow from the Sheridan Library, you need to become a member. Please see the Librarian if you wish to become a member. The Library has a few borrowing memberships.
Students:
• Free membership to students studying at Sheridan Institute of Higher Education.
• Students need their student cards to borrow items from the library.
• Borrowing limit: 20 items for 6 weeks (42 days), with one renewal.
• Please note: Students will also need to provide an alternative contact person’s details to be able to borrow items.
• Free access to online databases, including electronic journals at Sheridan Library. (Please see Librarian to access online resources from home).
Staff:
• Free membership to staff members of Sheridan Institute of Higher Education.
• Borrowing limit: 30 items for 6 weeks (42 days), with two renewals.
• Please note: Staff members will also need to provide an alternative contact person’s details to be able to borrow items.
• Free access to online databases, including electronic journals at Sheridan Library. (Please see Librarian to access online resources from home).
Public:
• Public membership is available to those not studying at Sheridan Institute of Higher Education.
• Cost is $50 for 12 months.
• Borrowing limit: 10 books for 3 weeks (21 days), with no renewal option.
• Free access to online databases, including electronic journals at Sheridan Library (on campus only).
Reciprocal Borrowing - Morling College
Sheridan has reciprocal borrowing arrangements with the Heather and Noel Vose Library, Morling College (Perth). Please see below for details:

When the library is closed, books can be returned via the after-hours Returns Chute.
To borrow from the Heather and Noel Vose Library:
- Sheridan Library patrons, students and staff must show valid identification (student card) to borrow items from the library
- Sheridan Library patrons, students and staff may borrow physical materials (books, periodicals, media etc) free from this library
- Sheridan Library patrons may borrow up to 10 items for 2 weeks (General/Main), with 4 renewals unless the item(s) have been recalled by the Heather and Noel Vose Library
- Vose Library patrons may borrow up to 10 items for 2 weeks, with 4 renewals from Sheridan Library
- Borrowers are responsible for adhering to due dates and returning borrowed items on time
- Fines and charges for lost or damaged items will be applied according to the lending library's policies
- Students have access to online resources, such as databases, e-journals and eBooks, where licensing agreements allow
- No access to Perlego, Wheelers or rental eBooks is permitted for Sheridan Library patrons
- Students have access to designated study areas in this library at Morling College
Reciprocal Borrowing - Perth Bible College
Sheridan has reciprocal borrowing arrangements with the Urquhart Memorial Library at Perth Bible College. Please see below for details:

To borrow from the Urquhart Memorial Library at Perth Bible College:
- Sheridan Library patrons, students and staff must show valid identification (student card) to borrow items from the library
- Sheridan Library patrons may borrow up to 10 items for one month, with two renewals unless the item(s) have been recalled by the Urquhart Memorial Library
- Students have access to online resources, such as databases in this library (please check with the Librarian)
- There is no off-campus access to databases
- Borrowers are responsible for adhering to due dates and returning borrowed items on time
- Fines and charges for lost or damaged items will be applied according to the lending library's policies
